Bauhaus Donut LED Lamp

The Bauhaus Donut Lamp reduces a light to its simplest possible shape: a 30 cm ring, finished in glass and metal, that glows evenly around its whole circumference. There is nothing extra on it, which is exactly the point. Two colourways are available, a soft white and a warmer orange, and both work as a graphic object on a shelf or a wall even when the lamp is switched off. At 2 kg it sits firmly on a surface.

An integrated LED runs inside the ring and is dimmable across three levels, with warm, neutral and cool white tones, so the lamp can shift from evening ambience to a clearer working light. A touch sensor on the body handles switching and dimming with a tap, and maximum draw is 40W. Glass and metal construction gives the piece a solid, cool feel in the hand and a finish that stays looking sharp.

Because it can either stand on a surface or mount to the wall, the lamp suits desks, nightstands, sideboards and hallways equally, and a pair fixed at different heights makes a quiet feature of a blank wall. It runs on 220 to 240 volts. Wall installation should be carried out securely and, where hardwired, by a qualified electrician. Use indoors in dry conditions, keep the cable clear of walkways, and clean the glass with a soft dry cloth.
