Eclat Travertine Wall Lamp

The Eclat Wall Lamp sits where French mid-century form meets the quiet imperfection of wabi-sabi design. Solid wood is matched with natural travertine stone, a material full of small pits and tonal shifts, so no two lamps look exactly alike. The head throws a soft glow downward rather than across the room, which makes it a natural headboard light and gives a bedroom wall depth after dark. The overall effect is warm, tactile and understated.

The body combines travertine stone with solid timber and stands 23 cm high with a 10 cm diameter and a 4 cm shade height. It uses a G4 LED capsule, not included, rated under 60W and running across a wide 90 to 260V supply. The head rotates so light can be aimed at a book, a picture or the wall itself, and a pull-chain switch handles the on and off, which keeps the fixture free of extra hardware nearby.

It suits a bedroom either side of a headboard, a reading corner, a hallway or a guest room in a small hotel or rental. The lamp covers roughly five to ten square metres of ambient light. Mounting is a hardwired wall fitting, so ask a qualified electrician to install it with the power isolated, and keep the pull cord clear of small children's reach. Use indoors in dry rooms and dust the stone with a soft dry cloth.
