Halo Ring Wall Light

The Halo Wall Light is built on one confident shape: a circular iron ring with a compact spotlight set inside it. The contrast between the open frame and the solid light head gives the piece a graphic, almost sculptural quality on a bare wall. It comes in satin gold for warmth or black for sharper contrast, each with a choice of warm or cold white light.

The spotlight head rotates through 180 degrees, so you can aim the beam down a wall for a wash of texture, up towards the ceiling for indirect glow, or straight out over a chair for reading. The output is warm and focused rather than broad, which makes it as useful for accent lighting as for atmosphere. The body is iron with a brushed finish, and it accepts a single E27 bulb on an AC 110-240V supply.

At 28 by 33 cm it stays proportionate on most walls, working well in bedrooms, corridors, living rooms and reading corners, and reading especially well in pairs. Fit it indoors in a dry location and have a qualified electrician handle the mains connection. Allow the bulb and head to cool before adjusting the angle or changing a bulb, and clean the metal with a soft dry cloth to protect the finish.
