The LumiBlock Rechargeable Wall Lamp solves the awkward problem of wanting light on a wall with no wiring behind it. It is a slim block, 16 by 7.8 by 3.3 centimetres, finished in white, black, walnut or a lighter wood grain, and it mounts without cutting into a circuit or calling out an electrician. The result is a quiet, modern shape that suits Scandinavian, minimalist and contemporary rooms, and rental homes where permanent fittings are not an option.
A 4000mAh battery drives a 6W light with three colour modes: warm white, natural white and cold white. A tap on the touch panel switches between them, and holding the panel dims the output anywhere from five to one hundred percent, so the same lamp handles a low night-time glow and a brighter task setting. Charging is over USB-C at DC 5V/1A, and the wood-grain casing keeps the finish warm rather than plastic.
Put it beside a bed, along a corridor, over a staircase or in a reading nook, and move it whenever the room changes. Installation needs no wiring, which makes it a straightforward choice for renters.
