Makar Opal Globe Wall Light

The Makar Wall Light pairs a smooth opal glass globe with a slim metal cradle, and the balance between the two is the whole point: the metal holds, the glass glows. It is a restrained, European-feeling piece that reads as elegant rather than decorative, available in black, gold or white so it can either disappear into the wall or stand against it.

Opal glass wraps the bulb entirely, which means no visible filament and a soft, even spread of ambient light suited to relaxing rooms. The globe and cradle are made from durable metal and high-clarity glass with a clean, seamless join. It takes a single E27 bulb, not included, so you can choose the wattage and colour temperature that suits, and it accepts a wide AC 85-260V supply.

At 15 by 18 cm it covers roughly five to ten square metres, making it a natural fit beside a bed, along a hallway, or as a pair framing an entryway console. Install it indoors on a dry interior wall and have a qualified electrician handle the mains connection. Allow the globe to cool before fitting or changing a bulb, and clean the glass with a soft dry cloth rather than a chemical spray.
