Marble and Glass Gold Wall Lamp

This wall lamp sets a frosted glass globe above a solid marble block on a brushed gold frame, a combination that reads as quietly expensive without any ornament. Two finishes are offered: white marble with gold, and green marble with gold. Each stone panel carries its own veining, so no two lamps look identical. It is a small fitting that behaves like a piece of jewellery on the wall.

The frosted globe diffuses a G9 LED, included with the lamp, into a soft and even glow with no visible filament, running between 5 and 10 W in warm white. Copper, marble and glass give the piece real weight for its 25 cm height, and the 27.5 cm projection carries the light clear of the wall so it spreads into the room rather than only up and down.

It suits bedside walls, stairways, hallways and modern lounges, and covers a lighting area of five to ten square metres, so a matched pair will light a bedroom on its own. The lamp is hardwired at AC 85-265 V and should be installed by a qualified electrician. Keep it in dry indoor rooms rather than a shower zone, and clean the marble with a soft dry cloth, avoiding acidic sprays that can dull the stone.
