Mica Mid-Century Pendant Lamp

The Mica Mid-Century Pendant Lamp is built around a double-layer glass shade: an inner clear layer sitting within an outer tinted one, so the fixture has visible depth even before it is switched on. Hand-finished iron fittings hold the glass and give the pendant its clean mid-century line. Two tints are offered, a warm amber and a cooler smoke grey, and the 18 cm shade keeps the scale right for a single point or a run of three.

Once lit, the two glass layers work together: the inner shade holds the source while the tinted outer layer softens and colours the spill, producing a warm ambient glow instead of a harsh point of light. It takes an E27 bulb, not included, so you can set your own brightness and colour temperature, and it runs on AC 220 to 240 volts. Polished glass and iron give the pendant weight and a finish that stays sharp.

Hang it above a kitchen bench, a bar counter, a dining table or a bedside, or space several along a run for a stronger statement in a cafe or open-plan living space. The cord length is adjustable, so the drop can be tuned to the ceiling height. It is a hardwired pendant and should be installed by a qualified electrician. Use indoors in dry areas, and let the glass cool before cleaning it with a soft dry cloth.
