Textured Glass Disc Wall Lamp

The Textured Glass Disc Wall Lamp is closer to a wall object than a standard sconce. A thick disc of coloured, intricately patterned glass sits on a slim brushed metal base, and when the integrated LED behind it comes on, the pattern lights from within and throws a soft halo onto the wall. Unlit, it still holds its own as a piece of coloured glass, which is rare in wall lighting.

The light itself is warm white and energy efficient, built into the fixture rather than relying on a replaceable bulb, so the glow stays even across the disc with no visible hot spot. The 17 cm diameter and 8 cm projection keep it flat against the wall and out of the way. Coloured glass in amber, clear, green or smoke grey pairs with a metal base, and the four options are designed to be mixed.

Hang one beside a bed or in a hallway, or run three or four in a line as a feature above a sideboard. It suits rooms of roughly three to six square metres where you want mood rather than task light. The lamp is hardwired for indoor use only, so have a licensed electrician install it. Wipe the glass with a soft dry cloth and isolate the circuit before any cleaning or servicing.
