Linear LED Wall Sconce

This linear LED wall light is built from gently curved bars that trace a long, low line across the wall. The silhouette is minimal enough to sit above a mirror without competing with it, and graphic enough to work as a feature on a bare living room wall. Black gives a sharp, contemporary edge, while gold reads warmer and more decorative. Three lengths, 60, 80 and 100 cm, let you match the fitting to the wall.

Integrated LEDs run the length of the bars behind an acrylic cover, so the output is a continuous soft glow rather than a row of visible points. Depending on the model, power sits between 16 and 36 watts, giving usable task light at a mirror as well as gentle ambience elsewhere. The body combines iron, aluminium and acrylic with a hard-wearing finish, and the wall plate is a slim 5 cm deep.

It suits a bathroom mirror, a hallway, a dining wall or either side of a bed. In a bathroom, mount it in a dry zone away from direct spray and splashes, and have a qualified electrician complete the wiring to local regulations. Do not use it outdoors or inside a shower enclosure. Switch off at the mains before cleaning, then wipe the surface with a dry, soft cloth to keep the finish clear.
