Nordic Glass Globe Pendant Light

The Nordic Glass Globe Pendant Light is the kind of fixture that disappears into a room and improves it anyway. A single high-transmission glass globe hangs from a slim metal stem and canopy, with no ornament beyond the shape itself. Amber, smoke grey and clear glass each give a different result: amber for warmth, smoke grey for a moodier line, clear for the most light and the least visual weight.

The handcrafted glass diffuses the light evenly across the globe, so the source stays soft to look at from across a room. Choose warm white for dining and bedroom settings, or cold white where you want a crisper, more functional light. The shade measures 15 cm across and 25 cm high, the canopy is 10 cm, and the cord adjusts up to 100 cm to suit different ceiling heights. It takes an E14 fitting.

One works over a bedside table or a reading chair; a row of three suits a kitchen island or a long dining table, and clustering them at staggered heights fills a stairwell well. Set the drop so the globe sits above eye level when seated. The pendant is hardwired for indoor use only and should be installed by a licensed electrician. Clean the glass with a soft dry cloth once the fitting is cool.
