Matte Metal Semi-Flush Ceiling Light

This semi-flush ceiling lamp is a simple matte metal dome with a warm brass-tone detail at the fitting. It sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging, which keeps it clear of head height in lower rooms while still giving the ceiling something to look at. Matte black and matte white versions are available, both 20 cm across and 16 cm deep.

The dome is cast iron with a flat matte surface, and the brass-tone detail at the base adds a small amount of warmth against that finish. It takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60 W, which is not included, so the character of the light is yours to choose: a warm filament look, a bright cool LED, or a smart bulb you can dim from a phone.

A lighting area of five to ten square metres makes it a good fit for hallways, entries, bedrooms, kitchens and small retail or cafe spaces, and a row of them reads well down a long corridor. It is a hardwired semi-flush mount, so have a qualified electrician fit it to the ceiling point. Keep it to dry indoor rooms, let the bulb cool before changing it, and dust the dome with a dry cloth.
