Modern Dome Pendant Light

This single dome pendant keeps things refined and simple. A smooth metal shade curves down over the bulb to direct light where it is needed, and a natural wood accent at the top warms up the minimal shape. Nine finishes, from white and grey to pink, orange, cyan and yellow, mean it can disappear into a scheme or act as a deliberate splash of colour above a counter. The styling is Scandinavian with a contemporary edge.

The fixture is made from durable metal with a refined matte finish and a wood accent, measuring 28 cm across. It takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W, sold separately, and runs on a 220 to 240V supply. Pairing it with a dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer switch gives full control over the mood, from bright task light while cooking to a low glow once plates are cleared. Mounting hardware is supplied in the box.

The dome shape is a natural fit above a kitchen island, a breakfast bar, a dining table or a cafe counter, and a run of two or three at even spacing looks especially good over a longer surface. It is a hardwired fitting, so a qualified electrician should install it with the circuit isolated and the cable set to a height that clears heads and worktops. Use indoors in dry rooms and wipe the metal with a dry cloth.
