The Nordic Glass Ball Ceiling Light hangs a single rounded glass shade from a short semi-flush stem, which gives it presence without the drop of a full pendant. Two profiles are available: design A at 25 cm wide by 29 cm high, and the shallower design B at 25 by 17 cm. Smoke grey and amber finishes both tint the light warmly and look considered whether the lamp is switched on or off.

Glass and iron make up the fixture, with the metal hardware kept slim so the shade stays the focus. It takes one E26 bulb, not included, and works with LED, incandescent or fluorescent types, so the character of the light is yours to choose. The tinted glass diffuses the source into a soft, contained glow, and the fitting runs on AC 220 to 240 V with support for 110 to 120 V supplies.

The semi-flush mount suits hallways, bedrooms and living rooms, and particularly ceilings too low for a hanging fixture but too plain for a bare flush plate. It sits comfortably in Nordic, modern and quietly luxurious rooms. The fixture is hardwired for indoor use, so ask a qualified electrician to install it with the circuit isolated. Let the bulb cool before changing it, and clean the glass with a soft dry cloth to keep the tint even.
