Nordic Smoked Glass Pendant Light

This Nordic glass pendant light is a straight cylinder of smoked glass wrapped with a brushed brass band. The proportions are small and precise at 18 cm across and 16 cm tall, which lets it sit above a counter or a bedside table without visual bulk, and makes it easy to repeat in a row where you need more coverage. Amber and smoke grey glass options each give the piece a different temperature of character.

Because the glass is tinted rather than opaque, the bulb stays partly visible and the light spreads evenly and warmly through the shade, a cafe-style glow rather than a directional beam. Metal and high-quality glass make up the build. It takes an E27 bulb of up to 60 W, supplied separately, on an 85V to 265V supply, and both warm white and cold white versions are offered so you can set the mood of the room.

It works over a kitchen island, above a dining table, beside a bed in place of a lamp, or in a cafe or restaurant setting where warm, low hanging light matters. The cord length can be tailored to your ceiling height during installation. Mount it to a standard ceiling fixing with the circuit isolated at the mains, or through a qualified electrician where local regulations require. Keep it indoors, and clean the glass with a soft dry cloth once cool.
