The Macaron Cylinder Pendant Light takes one simple shape, a slim aluminium cylinder, and finishes it with a turned wood cap, which is all it needs. Five soft colourways are available in black, white, pink, green and yellow, so you can run a matching row over an island or mix tones for a more playful look. The scale is deliberately small and unfussy.
The shade directs light downward in a focused pool, making it a good choice over a bench, table or bedside. Aluminium keeps the body light and easy to clean, while the solid wood top adds warmth against the metal. It takes a single E26 bulb, not included, so you can choose LED, incandescent or fluorescent to suit the room. The fixture is not dimmable, so pair it with a switched circuit.
At 11 cm wide and 12 cm tall with an adjustable 100-120 cm cord, it hangs neatly in kitchens, bedrooms, bars and cafes, and several can be grouped at different heights. The connection is hardwired, so have an electrician install it unless you are confident working with mains power. It is rated for dry indoor locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms and covered outdoor areas, and wipe the shade with a soft dry cloth.
