Nordic Ribbed Resin Wall Lamp

The Nordic Ribbed Resin Wall Lamp is a small sculptural sconce with a vertically ribbed face that reads as texture even before it is switched on. The form is simple and compact at 16.5 centimetres high, 14 long and 8 deep, so it sits close to the wall and does not crowd a hallway or a bedside. Four colours are offered, brown, green, grey and white, which lets you either blend the lamp into the wall or set it against it.

The whole body is moulded resin, chosen because it holds fine ribbing crisply and stands up to knocks better than plaster. Light leaves the fixture upward and downward rather than straight out, so you get two soft grazing washes along the wall and very little glare at eye level. The ribbed surface breaks those washes into gentle vertical lines. It takes a standard E27 bulb, not included, so the brightness and warmth of the room are yours to choose.

Fit a pair either side of a bed in place of table lamps, run several down a hallway, or use one to light an accent wall, a stairwell or a reading chair. It is wall-mounted and hardwired, so plan the position before the fitting and have a qualified electrician make the connection. Dust the ribbing with a soft dry brush or cloth. This lamp is made for dry indoor rooms and should not be used outdoors, in bathrooms or in any other damp location.
