The Nordic Surface Mounted LED Downlight is the quiet, practical option: a compact cylinder in black or white that sits on the ceiling surface, so there is no need to cut into a plasterboard cavity. The frosted acrylic diffuser keeps the face soft and the aluminium body keeps the profile tight. Used singly over a doorway or repeated in a grid across a kitchen, it gives modern rooms clean, unfussy light.

The LED chip comes in 9W or 15W versions, with an efficacy of 90 to 110 lumens per watt for bright output at low power draw. Choose warm white at 3000K for living spaces or cold white at 6000K for kitchens, laundries and work areas. The aluminium housing helps manage heat, which supports a rated service life of 50,000 to 80,000 hours, and it accepts an AC 110V to 240V input.

The small 9W version measures 80 mm across and the 15W version 100 mm, both 65 mm deep, so they suit low ceilings and tight spaces. Surface mounting works on most ceiling types, but the fitting is hardwired and should be installed by a qualified electrician in a dry indoor location. Wipe the diffuser with a soft, dry cloth with the power off, and space multiple units evenly for consistent coverage.
