Nordic Wooden Adjustable Wall Lamp

The Nordic Wooden Adjustable Wall Lamp keeps things simple: a rubberwood body, a matte metal shade and a joint that lets you aim the light exactly where you want it. The head turns a full 360 degrees horizontally and tilts through 90 degrees vertically, so one fixture covers reading, task work and low ambient glow. Warm timber against a smooth painted shade gives it a calm, unfussy Nordic character.

Because the shade is directional, the light stays contained rather than spilling across the whole room, which keeps it comfortable late in the evening. It takes an E27 bulb, not included and rated to 60 W, letting you choose your own brightness and colour temperature. The rubberwood is warm and tactile, the metal socket housing hard-wearing, and the whole fixture measures a compact 12 cm wide by 20 cm high.

It suits bedsides, hallways, home offices and small living rooms, comfortably lighting a space of around three to five square metres. Black, grey and white finishes are available. The lamp is hardwired with no inline switch, so plan it into a wall switch circuit and have a licensed electrician install it. Indoor use only. Dust the timber with a dry cloth, avoid damp cleaning, and turn off the power before changing the bulb.
