Each shade is woven by hand from bamboo, rattan and hemp rope, so the pattern varies slightly from piece to piece and the layered structure throws a soft play of light across the surrounding surface. In natural rattan tones, it settles easily into coastal, boho, Japandi and neutral interiors where warm natural materials do the decorating.

Light filters through the weave rather than pouring out of it, which gives a warm, diffused glow well suited to bedrooms and quiet corners. The fitting takes a standard E27 bulb, not included, so you can pick your own brightness and colour temperature; a warm white bulb suits the material best. It runs on AC 220 to 240V. Bamboo, rattan and hemp keep the lamp lightweight while remaining hard-wearing over time.

At 25 cm high, 23 cm wide and 12 cm deep it is compact enough for a hallway or a bedside wall, and it works well in pairs either side of a bed. Install it in a dry indoor location and have the wiring connected by a qualified electrician. Dust the weave gently with a soft brush or a vacuum brush attachment, keep it away from damp, and let the bulb cool before cleaning around the shade.
