Scandinavian Lotus Flush Ceiling Light

The Scandinavian Lotus Ceiling Light takes its shape from the layered petals of a lotus flower, translated into a low, flush-mounted fixture. Overlapping curved forms give the ceiling depth and movement without any of the bulk of a pendant, which makes it a good answer for rooms with limited head height. A natural wood-grain finish across the petals keeps it firmly in Nordic territory, warm rather than stark.

The fixture diffuses a soft, ambient light through its layered petals, so the glow feels natural and unhurried rather than bright and directional. Resin and iron form the body, giving a durable shell that holds its wood-grain texture, and it takes a single G9 lamp of up to 9 W, supplied separately, on an AC 110-120V supply. Black and white finishes are available, each in 28 x 10 cm and 40 x 16 cm sizes.

Choose the smaller size for a hallway, landing or compact bedroom, and the larger one for a living room, dining area or main bedroom where the fixture needs more presence. It mounts flush to the ceiling, so switch the circuit off at the mains before starting, and bring in a qualified electrician if your local wiring rules ask for one. This is an indoor fitting only. Dust the petals occasionally with a soft dry cloth.
